That wound up being a lot easier than I thought it would! Golden State just up and ran away from Toronto last night in the NBA to get me rolling back in the right direction.

Today's winner goes on the early afternoon card.

And this Play is Stronger

I am swinging the big stick today, so hop on my back as I score with another 100 dime maximum wager for the Saturday afternoon college hoops card.

The Longhorns have their work cut out for them if they wish to hear their name called a couple of Sundays from now, as their 18-10 record certainly has them as a bubble team when it comes to participating in their year's Big Dance.

The good news for Rodney Terry's team this Saturday afternoon is they will be at home where they have gone 12-4 straight up this season. The better news for Rodney Terry's team this Saturday afternoon is conference bottom feeder Oklahoma State with their 4-11 Big 12 mark will visit Moody Center having just lost their last pair of home games both straight up and against the spread.

The Longhorns have won 7 of the past 10 series meetings over the Cowboys, including the past 4 series meetings with each of the last 3 wins all coming by double-digits. Texas has covered in each of the last 3 meetings, and at this point in the season the Longhorns really need to lay down the gauntlet against lesser teams to catch the attention of the selection committee.

With no more room for error, go with Texas to trounce Oklahoma State this Saturday afternoon in Austin.

Pro Basketball

Denver (+1) at L.A. LAKERS

Tough one last night as I was gunning for my 4th straight winning day, and Fairfield came up just short in their game at Marist.

No worries, I am getting it back and then some today in college buckets.

When you see a play you love, you have to be prepared to fire away no matter what has happened in the recent past.

Time to come with a rare 2000♦ double-your-wager release for Saturday.

Make no mistake, I am riding this one into the Winner's Circle.

Make sure you are along for the ride.

The Lakers have played with a real sense of urgency lately, as Los Angeles comes into this Saturday night home date against the defending NBA Champion Denver Nuggets riding a mini-2 game winning streak, and they have also won 12 of their last 15 overall. Impressive, but even with 12 wins in their last 15 games, LA is no better than #9 right now in the ultra-competitive Western Conference standings.

The Nuggets have followed 3 straight losses with a 5-game winning streak, but Denver did lose the services of Jamal Murray on Thursday night with a sprained ankle in Denver's 103-97 home win over Miami, and my guess is the Nuggets will err on the side of caution since they are sitting pretty right now at the overall #3 seed.

Even with Murray's status questionable, I am all about backing the Nuggets who LOVE to get up for games against the Lakers as evidenced by their 4-game playoff sweep of LA last May. Denver has gone on to win the first 2 meetings of the season between the teams this regular season and now owns a 7-game series winning streak over the Lakers.

Los Angeles is blowing hot right now, but until I see them punch the bully in the face, I will play against them besting the Nuggets.

Give me Denver on Saturday night.
