The Rays destroyed the Red Sox on Tuesday night and cashed my 300-Unit top play for us. That makes a very nice run on the diamond, having nailed three of my last four top plays! Good news is that another big diamond winner is on the board tonight to help build up some bankroll before we kickoff the NFL season on Thursday.

For tonight, I'm delivering a 400-Unit Baseball Grand Slam in the Reds-Rockies contest from Colorado. I'm 3-1 with my last four baseball top plays and I just nailed a Tuesday night winner for you with ease as Tampa stomped Boston.

This is the perfect time to start a streak as we are running full force toward a monster weekend!

My Rating System

I've been in Vegas since 1993 and I'm telling you up front that the difference between professional gamblers that make money and amateurs who lose it is that the pros, like myself, adhere to a strict money management system.

I rate my plays on a progressive 100 Unit to 1000 Unit basis with the highest rating representing the strongest play.

If you don't wager accordingly, and by that I mean using the proper percentage of your bankroll based on the rating of my releases, you're doomed for failure. Mismanagement of funds is the biggest mistake amateur gamblers make.

Let me give you an example:

If you've got $500 to play with tonight, and I come with a 1000 Unit Best Bet and a 500 Unit bonus release, that means I've got a total of 1500 Units of action on the table. Now, take that $500 bankroll and divide it by 1500. That gives you a per unit cost of about .33. Next, do the simple math:

On the 1000 Unit play you should be wagering $333 of your total $500 bankroll (which is 1000 times your per unit cost of .33)

On the 500 Unit play you should be wagering the balance, which is $167 (which is 500 times your per unit cost of .33).

Remember - NEVER bet more than you can afford to lose, and you'll always stay out of trouble.

Who is Bobby Max?

I am a gambler, just like you.

A professional sports bettor who makes his money winning games.

This is my livelihood; what I do 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

With a face like this, you think I'm winning any beauty contests?

My given name is Robert Maxwell, but my friends and clients know me as Bobby Max.

I arrived in Sin City in 1993, journalism degree in hand, and a talent for picking winners I developed as a kid growing up in a small Southwestern Oklahoma town. Being a big-time gambler in a small podunk town doesn't fly, but anything goes in Vegas.

As a journalist, I've covered every professional and collegiate sport you can imagine. I've been on in lockerrooms, on the field, and in the company of athletes and coaches. Those experiences as a writer have allowed me to understand the games they play. I'm well aware of the "too good to be true" plays - and smart enough to stay away from them.

The key in this business is spotting bad lines and bad situations for teams and players. Remember, all the oddsmakers want to do is to get even money on each side of a game. That's their goal. Mine is spotting the obvious mistakes the linemaker makes daily and believe me, they make mistakes, some big, some small, and they're waiting to be exploited, and that's what I do best.

Do I win everyday? Of course not, but anyone who claims to in this business is a liar and a fraud. But, over the long-term I will win and make you money if you follow my money management system and unload on big plays when I come with them.

Today's Complimentary Selection

I made it five straight days with a FREE winner on Tuesday when the Giants easily beat up the D'Backs in Arizona. Tonight, I'm delivering a sixth straight as I go with the Dodgers on the road in San Diego against the Padres. If you want even more winning on the diamond, take advantage of my 400-Unit Grand Slam that going on my page today!

For my freebie, the Dodgers are sending righty Chad Billingsley (11-8, 3.54 ERA) to the mound at Petco Park in San Diego and they’ll get the final game of this series and bang out some runs against rookie lefty Cory Luebke (0-1, 7.20 ERA) in just his second career big-league start.

Billingsley looked great on Friday against the Giants, allowing two unearned runs over eight innings of a 4-2 victory. He’s looked very good in his last nine starts against the Padres, allowing three runs or less in all nine and leading the Dodgers to wins in seven of the nine. Last time Billingsley pitched in San Diego was July 27 when he shut them out over six innings of a 2-0 win. In fact, he hasn’t allowed a run in his last 13.1 innings in San Diego.

Luebke made his debut on Friday against the Rockies and allowed four runs on two two-run homers over five innings of a 4-3 loss. He was tearing it up for Portland in Triple-A, blanking his final two opponents before getting the call up to San Diego.

The Dodgers are on streaks of 23-11 when Billingsley starts the third game of a series, 8-3 when he faces division foes and 7-3 when he gets four days off. We all know the Padres were struggling to get anything right during their 10-game losing streak and they are just 2-7 against N.L. West teams.

Billingsley is 4-1 in his last five trips to San Diego and I’m banking on him improving on that record tonight. Play the Dodgers.
